Hi, I’m Kristen! I’m a native New Englander who grew up sailing and paddling the Gulf of Maine, most recently as a licensed Maine Sea Kayak guide and a local Maine Friendship Sloop restoration and charter boat operator. Though an ocean-going career has landed me on distant shores over the years, I’ve always found myself right back home on the quiet side of beautiful Mount Desert Island.
In an effort to preserve island history from the ground up, I left the sailing life behind and traded old wooden boats for historic island cottages, moving from my life’s work restoring classic Maine sloops and leading sailboat charters to preserving, restoring, and sharing vintage island, coastal, and mountainside Maine homes and Airstreams.
Our local family business prides itself on preserving the island’s coastal heritage and providing unique, historic Maine cottage experiences with 24/7 concierge services in the spectacular setting of Acadia National Park and the western Maine mountains. Come visit! We’d love to have you.
